Come along to meet Nicholas Carlton (online web series Oz Girl) and Lucas Crandles (short film Black Button and animated series Wentworth & Buxbury) who have made the internet the principal outlet for their material with stunning results. OzGirl was launched in Feb, 2009 using a social web model for distribution and generated 23 web-based episodes (or webisodes) drawing an audience of 20,000 per episode. Crandles is part of the creative team behind Dark Heart Productions, whose 7-minute short Black Button has generated 1.5 million hits on YouTube and garnered a YouTube Partnership - which allows Dark Heart to receive income from views of their content.
The filmmaking future is online.  The online future is now.  Be a part of it!
